Maybe it's because I just got back from the phenomenon...Comic Con.. maybe it's because I'm just in the mood but the comic Artist Gene Ha's architecture in his magnum opus " The Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix is breathtaking. Above are just a few of the wonderful , breathtaking creations

I highly recommend this comic series to all of you.

the infinite library

perhaps this has been brought up already, but jorge luis borges wrote a piece called "the library of babel". it's about a place that holds all the BOOKS in the world, but i figured it was an applicable idea on some levels. link here.

Children of Men

Children of Men is a movie all artist should see. It is a rather common end of civilization movie with all the standard end of the world horrors but in the film something unexpected happens... Art is given a very special place.

I highly recommend this movie although Clive Owen is featured.

a small institution

Excellent article about another book (and portable) inspired idea, Biblioburros. Soriano's project began as a necessity, became an obligation, morphed into a custom, and finally evolved into an institution.

What would a small village in Colombia think of Rauschenberg's goat, Tracey Emin's tent, or Van Gogh's Starry Night?

Artburros anyone?

The Possibilites of Tomorrow..a portable International Museum of Terran Arts

Is it possible for a massive structure to be portable? I had a stimulating conversation with a good friend about a portable museum, although brief, I was still taken back by the possibility. At first I dismissed the idea as momentary madness from a mentor, but upon further investigation I realized that this is indeed possible and maybe advantageous. What do you all think? Would this work? Is it possible? What are the advantages? and the drawbacks?
